Next Friday, 23 May, Judy and I set off on the bike for a trip to Kiel. This being my 65th year, I thought it about time I had a look at the city where I was born.
The bike is in dock, having its front forks rebuilt, so I'm hoping it will be ready in time. It only went in for new seals, but it turned out that the stanchions were pitted, so Motorworks rushed down a rechromed set. It all adds to the excitement.
To the seasoned traveller it may seem that I'm making rather a lot of a week away, but it's the first time I've been abroad on a bike, and the first time Judy and I have holidayed by bike since the 80s.
